Dedication of Lafayette Tree at the Brumbaugh House

We are pleased to announce the Marker Placement and Dedication Ceremony for our Lafayette Tree.
Sunday, September 13, at 2pm.
In June, 2026, the DAR planted a sapling that was grown from a cutting of a “Witness Tree” (a tree at least 300 years old) that was on the Brandywine Battlefield in Pennsylvania. The legend states that Lafayette was injured and rested under the tree.
The DAR is having a plaque made and it will be installed, and a dedication ceremony, to include a Color Guard, will occur at 2pm on September 13.
